Share
Due to unexpected rain and mist throughout the day, coupled with a temperature in the 30s, tonight’s $5,000 to win Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties season opener at Screven Motor Speedway has been rained-out and will not be rescheduled. The weather forecast for Sylvania, Georgia looks much better for the remainder of the weekend!
The schedule has been altered for Friday with practice and preliminary action for the SEHA Hornets and SCDRA 4-Cylinders taking place in the morning and early afternoon hours. Following track prep, the night session will be held featuring the SAS Super Late Models racing for a $10,000 payday. Saturday’s ‘Winter Freeze XVI’ grand finale will still boast a $25,000 first place prize.
Screven Motor Speedway is located at 6118 Savannah Highway in Sylvania, Georgia. More information on the Peach State facility can be found on Facebook by liking the Screven Motor Sports Complex page or by accessing www.screven-motorsports.com.
Super Late Model body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - among others. Additional rules including engine and weight rules can be found online at www.sasdirt.com. The Super Late Model entry fee will be $120.00 on Friday and $150.00 on Saturday.
