May 13, 2019 - Senoia Raceway Up Next for Southern All Stars
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab will make its first stop of the 2019 season this Saturday night May 18th at the Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA., for the 50th Anniversary of Senoia Raceway event paying $4,000 to win for the 40 lap super late model event.<<MORE>>

May 3, 2019 - Southern All Stars Thunderhill Event Postponed
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab at was scheduled for this Saturday night May 4th has been postponed till Saturday night August 3rd. The series and track officials made the decision to postpone as the weather forecast for the area were not favorable for getting to race.<<MORE>>

May 1, 2019 - Southern All Star Will Try Thunderhill Again Saturday Night
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab will try it once again this Saturday night May 4th at the Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, TN., for the inaugural King of the Hill 40 paying $4,000 to win along with a full racing program after the April 20th date was rained out and rescheduled to the May 4th date.<<MORE>>

April 27, 2019 - Brandon Overton Thrills Large Crowd At Talladega Southern All Star Event
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab made its first stop of the season Saturday night at the Talladega Short Track during NASCAR Weekend in the area and the record crowd on hand got to see a true battle for the 40 lap main event as Brandon Overton got his fourth career series win, but it was hard fought as he moved to the outside of Ashton Winger who led lap one and then Overton took the spot back on lap two, then with the addition of Austin Horton, the trio battled for the top spot throughout the race three wide several times with Overton coming out on top, Winger had to battle with Horton late in the race to keep second but he managed to get his second top five finish of the weekend, with 2017 Southern All Star Champion Austin Horton making his first start with the series this year and was in the battle all night and just came up short and finished third, fourth went to Kyle Beard from his 10th starting spot and fifth to Riley Hickman finished fifth after his 22nd place finish the night before at Smoky Mt.<<MORE>>

April 26, 2019 - Ricky Weiss Scores First Southern All Star Win At Smoky Mt Speedway
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab made its first stop of the season Friday night at the Smoky Mt Speedway and the series had another first time winner as Ricky Weiss of Headingley, MB became the first international winner with the Southern All Stars as he took the lead from pole sitter Ashton Winger on lap 11 and cruised to the win.  Chris Madden came home in the second spot from his 7th starting spot, Winger brought home third, Jimmy Owens finished fourth and Brandon Overton rounded out the top five from his 11th starting spot.<<MORE>> (Michael Moats photo)

April 22, 2019 - SAS Announces Schedule Adjustments
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab announces a few schedule adjustments that will take place.  The rained out event this past Saturday night at the Thunderhill Raceway Park has been reschedule for Saturday night May 4th. <<MORE>>

April 20, 2019 - Inaugural King of the Hill Cancelled by Rain
Racing tonight at Thunderhill has been canceled. We are in action next week. Smoky Mountain Raceway on Friday night and Talladega Short Track on Saturday night. Happy Easter everyone.

March 24, 2019 - Davenport March Madness Southern All Stars Cherokee Winner
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab sanctioned the 17th Annual Ginger Owens Memorial March Madness and Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, GA., scored his ninth career Southern All Star win Sunday afternoon at the Cherokee Speedway.  Davenport set fast time in SUNOCO Race Fuels/Knowles Race Parts qualifying, led all 10 laps in his Hoosier Race Tires heat race and then led all 60 laps to take home the $12,000 first place prize.<<MORE>> (Shea Humphries photo)

March 16, 2019 - Casey Roberts Back in Victory Lane at Southern Raceway Bash at the Beach
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab ran race number two Saturday night at Tom Lowry’s Southern Raceway in Milton, FL.,the 3rd Annual Bash at the Beach and Casey Roberts picked up where he left off two years ago and was back in victory lane taking the $7,000 in the 60 lap feature. Two years ago Roberts swept the weekend and this year with the doubleheader he said driver error played into the Friday night finish, so he just parked it to save his car and be ready for the next night. The plan worked as he led all 60 laps but it was not easy as Neil Baggett and David Breazeale all made a run at him with nothing to show for it.<<MORE>> (Phil Frye photo)

March 15, 2019 - Neil Baggett Adds His Name To Southern All Star Winners List At Southern Raceway
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab started the 2019 season at Tom Lowry’s Southern Raceway in Milton, FL., and Neil Baggett of Columbus, MS., got his career first win with the series, he led 24 laps, David Breazeale led for 6 laps until he retired when he made contact with a lapped car punching a hole in his radiator. March 12, 2019 - Southern All Stars Season Opener At Southern Raceway
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab will start the 2019 season in a different spot than the usual Cherokee Speedway March Madness. After the rainout at Cherokee Speedway the series will now open the 2019 season at the Southern Raceway in Milton, FL., for the 3rd Annual Bash at the Beach on Friday & Saturday night March 15-16 with a 30 lap $3,000 to win on Friday night and then on Saturday night a 60 lap $7,000 to win. <<MORE>>

March 1, 2019 - March Madness Postponed to March 24th
The Ginger Owens March Madness is still on for this afternoon. Tomorrows Super Late Model portion of the event will be rescheduled for Sunday, March 24th! Gates open at 11 am with drivers meeting at 1230!

Next race for the Southern All Stars will be March 15th and 16th for the 3rd Annual Bash at the Beach at Southern Raceway in Milton Florida. $3,000 to win Friday $7,000 to win Saturday

February 28, 2019 - March Madness Still On for Saturday
The Ginger Owens Match Madness 60 at Cherokee Speedway is still on schedule for Sunday, March 3rd. The schedule will remain the same for Friday & Saturday as well. If any changes due to the weather they will be made Saturday morning.

February 25, 2019 - Ginger Owens March Madness Will Kick Off 2019 Southern All Stars Championship Campaign
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab will start the 2019 season with a traditional opener as the series will sanction the 19th Annual Ginger Owens March Madness 60 paying $12,000 to win and $600 to start for the Southern All Star Super Late Models Sunday afternoon March 3rd.  Ginger scored several races for the series over the years and lost her fight to cancer last week after a 14th month battle so Cherokee promoter Scott Childress added her name to the title as it will now be called.<<MORE>>

February 1, 2019 - Southern All Stars Change & Add Dates in Georgia and Mississippi
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab has made some additions and adjustments to the 2019 schedule.

The 2nd Annual South Georgia Shootout that was originally set for September 13-14 between the Oglethorpe Speedway& the Screven Motorsports Complex has now been moved to Friday & Saturday night September 6th-7th.  The Oglethorpe Speedway event will pay $4,000 to win and the Screven race will pay $5,000 to win.<<MORE>>


January 16, 2019 - Southern All Star Series Releases 2019 Dates
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab preliminary schedule has 20 dates confirmed for the 2019 season with a few more dates to be added in the coming days as 2019 looks to be one of the busiest years for the series.

The series will open the 2019 season on Sunday afternoon March 3rd at The Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC., for the 16th Annual March Madness paying $12,000 to win.  This race has been a traditional opener for the series for 15 years and always draws good car counts and crowds to this event. <<MORE>>

November 17, 2018 - It’s Fergy Time At Lancaster Southern All Star Palmetto State 50
RACE RECAP: LANCASTER, SC--The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab made its final stop of the year Saturday night at the Lancaster Speedway in South Carolina and fan favorite Chris Ferguson of Mt Holly, NC., took over the top spot around the midway point and never looked back as he took home the $10,000 check and his second career Southern All Star win. This was the first time the series returned to the ½ mile South Carolina facility since 2005 when Jimmy Owens took the win.<<MORE>>

October 13, 2018 - Jackson Hale Become 6th First Time Winner with Southern All Stars B J Parker Memorial
RACE RECAP: EASTABOGA, AL--The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab made its final stop of the season at the Talladega Short Track n Eastaboga, AL., as part of the annual NASCAR Weekend and the main event was the 42 lap $4,200 to win B J Parker Memorial held in honor of the man that started the Southern All Stars in 1983 and Jackson Hale of Southside, AL., added his name to the record books as he became the 6th different winner this season with the series, 184th overall in 725 series events.<<MORE>>

October 6, 2018 - Shannon Buckingham Now in Southern All Star Record Books As Winner
RACE RECAP: MARYVILLE, TN--The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab made its final stop of the season at the 4/10ths mile Smoky Mt Speedway in Maryville, TN., Saturday night and the series had another first time winner as Shannon Buckingham of Maryville, TN., scored his first career series win on the weekend that his car owner Roger Sellers acquired sole ownership of the track in Maryville, TN.  Buckingham won the first heat race and that gave him the pole position for the 50 lap $7,500 to win King of the Mountain/Fall Classic.    Second place went to Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, GA., who got by Randy Weaver on the last lap to get that spot with Weaver falling back to third, Cory Hedgecock finished fourth from his 8th stating spot and Vic Hill rounded out the top five.<<MORE>>

September 27, 2018 - Southern All Stars Confirm Three More Dates For 2019

September 21, 2018 - Southern All Stars Announce First Four Dates Booked For 2019 Schedule
FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab has started to work on the 2019 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series schedule and the first track to come back on board in a big way is Southern Raceway in Milton, FL.  Promoter Tom Lowry has stepped up to the plate and will be offering four nights of racing over two weekends in 2019.<<MORE>>
