Tarheel Race Slated for Friday, October 9 at North Georgia Speedway

Since 2004, the FK Rod Ends Tarheel Race has been a staple on the late-season racing calendar.  This year is no different, as the annual running of Ray Cook's Tarheel Race will take place on Friday, October 9 at North Georgia Speedway.  Held for the very first time at the Chatsworth, Georgia oval, a $6,000 paycheck has been earmarked for the winner with each feature starter receiving at least $600.

Some of the biggest names in the sport have emerged victorious in the Tarheel Race through the years including Billy Moyer, Jonathan Davenport, Dale McDowell, Brandon Overton, Casey Roberts, Shane Clanton, and Hudson O’Neal.  Cory Hedgecock is the defending race winner, as he topped last year's version of the storied event that was held at I-75 Raceway.  Mark your calendars for this Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series showdown on Friday, October 9!
