In 2026, the SAS tour currently has 25 races scheduled at 21 different southern venues across the states of Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. The season will kick off from February 5-7 with the annual running of the Winter Freeze at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia and will conclude on October 25 with the 36th edition of the Blue-Gray 100 at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina.
Screven Motor Speedway and Cherokee Speedway are among the ten new tracks joining the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series schedule after an absence in 2025. Other new tracks on the 2026 slate include the newly-reopened Little River Speedway in Modoc, South Carolina, Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, Georgia, Golden Mountain Speedway in Sparta, Tennessee, Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee, Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, Georgia, Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia, Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee, and Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky.
Eleven tracks are returning to the 2026 schedule that were part of the series in 2025 including Penton Raceway in Lafayette, Alabama, North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia, Winder-Barrow Speedway in Winder, Georgia, West Alabama Speedway in Winfield, Alabama, Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Alabama, I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee, Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky, Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia, Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee, Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee, and Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia.
A six-pack of high-profile events headline the 2026 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series calendar. The three-day Winter Freeze extravaganza at Screven Motor Speedway from February 5-7 will shell out $5,000, $10,000, and $25,000 top prizes respectively. On March 20-21, the SAS tour will join the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series to co-sanction a pair of special events in the Palmetto State. Friday’s show that weekend will boast a $10,053 winner’s check at Little River Speedway, while Saturday’s annual March Madness at Cherokee Speedway will pay a whopping $20,053 to the victor.
The Harold Hardgrove Memorial returns to the schedule in 2026, as a $12,022 payday will be up for grabs at Lake Cumberland Speedway on Saturday, August 29. The Scott Bloomquist Memorial Scorcher will be sanctioned by the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series in 2026, as the tour will roll into the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway on Thursday, September 17 for the $10,018 to win program. The 2026 season will then conclude in a big way on Sunday, October 25 with a $30,000 first place prize on the line in the prestigious Blue-Gray 100 at Cherokee Speedway.
In addition to the bolstered 2026 schedule, series promoter Ray Cook is also excited to announce that the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Champion will now receive $15,000 and second place in points will receive $10,000. The Rookie of the Year point fund has also elevated in 2026 with $3,000 now earmarked for the rookie winner and $2,000 going to second place in the rookie chase. That’s an added $14,000 to the point fund for those positions alone compared to 2025!
