Mechanical Woes Bite Putnam at Columbus

Josh Putnam looked to be on his way to another 2022 victory on Saturday night at Columbus (Miss.) Speedway. Unfortunately, mechanical woes - in the form of a broken rear end - sidelined him late in the $4,000-to-win XR Southern All Star (SAS) Series event at Columbus (Miss.) Speedway.

Putnam won his heat race and paced the field until lap 37, when the mechanical failure sidelined him to a ninth-place finish.
