Ross Bailes grabs $10,000 SAS victory at Screven

Back behind the wheel of the H&H Auto Sales No. 79 Late Model, Ross Bailes was one of 23 Southern All Star Series entered at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.) on Saturday evening for the Winter Freeze. Following the third-fastest lap in time trials, Bailes captured a 10-lap victory in the third heat of the night. Powering ahead of Brent Dixon and Payton Freeman for the lead on the 12th circuit of the feature, Ross raced to his first win of the season and second career SAS triumph. He finished ahead Pearson Lee Williams, Rusty Schlenk, Freeman, and Colten Burdette to claim $10,000. (Sonia Faux Barnes photo)
