Runner-up finish with Southern All Stars at I-75

Saturday saw Cory Hedgecock return to action at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) for the Southern All Star Series-sanctioned Dirt Slingers Classic. In a field of 31 cars, Cory laid down the second fastest time overall, which positioned him second on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. After pacing the field for the first 14 circuits, Hedgecock settled in a runner-up spot, where he eventually crossed the line. He followed Payton Freeman to the checkers with Sam Seawright, Ryan King, and Skip Arp rounding out the Top-5.
