Mechanical issues surface at I-75 Raceway

Saturday night found Dale McDowell in action at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) for the Southern All Star Series-sanctioned Dirt Slingers Classic. With 31 Late Models entered, McDowell secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth fastest qualifying effort. Rolling off fourth, Dale tracked down race-long pacesetter Cory Hedgecock on the 15th circuit and led the next 16 laps when mechanical issues struck and ended his night immediately.
