Podium finish in Billy Clanton Classic at Senoia

Friday night found Shane Clanton in action at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) as the Southern All Star Series drew 24 competitors for the event honoring his father, Billy Clanton. With his qualifying effort lining him up fifth on the starting grid for the opening night feature, Shane gained two spots in the 25-lapper to finish third. He trailed Ashton Winger and Austin Horton the checkers with Brandon Overton and Dalton Cook rounding out the Top-5.

For the Hence and Reba Pollard Memorial on Saturday, Clanton secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win finale with a second-place finish in his heat. Holding his spot for all 52 laps, Shane notched a fifth-place finish. He followed Ashton Winger, Brandon Overton, Ricky Weiss, and Austin Horton across the line.
